Tour itinerary
Arrival in Urgench – Khiva. Excursion
Arrive in Urgench early in the morning or the day before. Transfer from the airport to Khiva (30 km) and check-in at the hotel. Rest. Tour of Ichan-Kala, the inner city of Khiva. Free lunch (not included).
Khiva – Bukhara
Transit through the Kyzylkum Desert (430 km, 6-7 hours). Lunch en route (not included).
Bukhara. Excursion
Samanid Mausoleum, Chashma Ayub Mausoleum, Bolo-Khauz Complex, Ark Fortress, Poi-Kalyan Complex. Free lunch (not included). Trip to the Mokhi-Khosa Palace, a country residence.
Bukhara – Samarkand (day train)
Bukhara tour: Kosh Madrasah architectural complex, Lyabi-Khauz complex, and trading domes. Free lunch (not included). Transfer to the train station 1.5 hours before departure. Transfer to Samarkand by train. Transfer to the hotel.
Samarkand. Excursion
Gur-Emir Mausoleum, Registan Square, Bibi-Khanum Mosque, Siab Bazaar (closed on Mondays). Trip to the village of Kunigil (7 km), visit to the Meros silk paper workshop. Visit to the “Eternal City.” Free lunch (not included).
Samarkand. Excursion
Shah-i-Zinda architectural complex, St. Daniel’s Mausoleum, Hazrat Khizr Mosque, Ulugh Beg Observatory, and the Khujum carpet factory, where silk carpets are hand-woven by skilled craftswomen. Learn about the process of dyeing silk threads with natural dyes and the painstaking work of the craftswomen.
Samarkand. Departure
Transfer to the airport three hours before departure.
