Tour itinerary
Arrival in Samarkand. Excursion
Arrive on an early flight or the day before. Transfer from the airport to the hotel (early check-in). Excursion: Gur-Emir Mausoleum, Registan Square, the most famous square in Central Asia, Bibi-Khanum Mosque, Siab Bazaar (closed on Mondays). Drive to the village of Kunigil (7 km), visit the Meros silk paper workshop. Visit the “Eternal City.” Lunch (not included).
Dushanbe. Excursion
Transfer to the Jartepa border. Customs formalities. Transfer to Penjikent. Excursion: Rudaki Museum, the founder of Persian poetry, and the ancient settlement of Sarazm (UNESCO). Transfer to the Haft Kul Valley (Seven Lakes). Visit a cascade of seven lakes, each with its own distinctive water color. In some, the water changes color throughout the day or depending on the weather. Lunch (included in the price). Transfer to the Jartepa border. Customs formalities. Return to Samarkand.
Samarkand. Excursion. Departure
Excursion: Shahi-Zinda architectural complex, St. Daniel’s Mausoleum, Hazrat Khizr Mosque, Ulugh Beg Observatory. Transfer to the airport three hours before departure.
